Hotel Shwe Eain Taw was a great base for my family during the Yangon marathon, only 2 kilometers from the start line. While the building exudes an old charm with its dated decor, the room was surprisingly clean and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which really elevated our experience. The breakfast was hearty, with perfect eggs, although the hotel is a bit removed from the main attractions of the city.

The hotel offers all the basics, like room service and complimentary coffee, but some facilities felt quite dated. If you're looking for luxury, this might not be the place, but everything was functional.

I had a great stay at Hotel Shwe Eain Taw. The location was perfect for the Yangon marathon—just a short walk to the starting line. While the hotel shows its age and has a tired exterior, the friendly staff and clean rooms more than made up for it. The value for money is fantastic, especially with a delicious breakfast included! 😄
